About the Maltese Citizenship Program
The Malta Citizenship Program:
The Maltese Citizenship by Naturalisation for Exceptional Services by Direct Investment Program has been existing since 20 November 2020 and is the newest citizenship by investment program in the world. This renewed program allows qualifying investors to apply for citizenship after 1 or 3 years of residency, depending on the value of the investment.
This program offers the fastest route to citizenship of the European Union. Qualifying investors are required to make a non-refundable contribution of €600,000 (citizenship granted in 3 years) or €750,000 (citizenship granted in 1 year) into the Government fund. Additionally, a donation of €10,000 to a Maltese non-profit charitable organisation is required. Finally, investors can choose to either buy property in Malta for a minimum fee of €700,000 or rent for €16,000 per annum for 5 years.
Naturalisation for exceptional services by direct investment in Malta is capped at 400 approved applications per year and 1,500 applications in total.
Citizens of Malta travel to almost 190 countries visa-free including the USA, Canada, and EU. Maltese passport allows applicants the right to live, work, and study in all the EU countries.

Requirements
- No previous criminal record
- Be over 18 years old
- Have a legitimate source of wealth
- Good character
- Have available the required investment funds
- Good health
Who else can be included in the citizenship application:
- Spouse of the main applicant
- Dependent children of the main applicant and spouse below 18 years old
- Children below 29 years old who are financially dependent on parents, and not married
- Parents of the main applicant and spouse over 55 years old who are financially dependent on the main applicant

Application approval and visit to Malta

At this stage you will receive your Maltese citizenship and will be issued with a Certificate of Naturalisation
