About the Montenegro Citizenship by Investment Program
Montenegro Citizenship by Investment Program:
The Montenegro Citizenship by Investment Program was launched in late 2019 to boost foreign direct investment and develop its economy. It is the newest citizenship by investment program in the world and has a cap of 2,000 applications to be accepted by the government.
Citizens of Montenegro travel to over 120 countries visa-free.
To qualify for the Montenegro Citizenship by Investment Program, an investor is required to purchase government-approved real estate and make a non-refundable Contribution to the Government Fund of Montenegro.

Requirements
- Be a non-EU citizen
- Have no previous criminal record
- The main applicant should be over 18 years old
- Have a legitimate source of wealth
- Good character
- Have available the required investment funds
- No outstanding visa denials in any visa free country with the passport of Montenegro
Who else can be included in the citizenship application:
- Spouse of the main applicant
- Dependent children of the main applicant below 18 years old
- Adult children who are financially dependent on parents, live in the same household with parents and are not married

Initial consultation

Client agreement and retainer fee payment
Signing of the client agreement and payment of the GLS service fee

Collection of documents, government and investment payments
GLS team will assist with all the documents' preparation. The following payments are required: government, due diligence and application fees. Choose a real estate property and transfer contribution and investment amount to special escrow accounts

Receipt of the file by the Government
Once the file has been received by the Government of Montenegro, there will be further due diligence and background checks performed

Approval in Principle
Once the application has been approved, the Contribution and Real Estate investment funds will be released from the escrow account

Travel to Montenegro
GLS will assist you in travelling to Montenegro to have biometrics collected

Naturalisation certificate
Once the documents have been reviewed by the Government and a positive decision on the application has been made, the Naturalisation Certificate will be issued and handed over to the client
