The Spanish Golden Visa programme was launched in 2013. An investment of €500,000 in real estate allows the whole family to get Spanish residency.
The Spanish investor visa can be renewed every two years. After five years it is possible to gain permanent residency and, after ten years, citizenship. Living in Spain in order to retain and renew the residency visa permit is not obligatory.

- No previous criminal record
- Be over 18 years old

- Good character
- Have available the required investment funds

Stages of obtaining Spanish Golden visa

Initial consultation
Initial free consultation with one of the GLS experts

Program information and due diligence check
Detailed fee schedule and a free of charge preliminary due diligence check

Client agreement and retainer fee payment
Signing of the client agreement and payment of the retainer fee

Preparation of the documents
GLS experts will assist you with the whole procedure of the documents’ preparation, including the translation, notarisation and apostille of the relevant documents

Submit residency application
The complete application for a residence permit together with all supporting documents confirming your investments will be submitted to the Spanish government’s Ministry of Economy

Receive residency approval
Once the application is reviewed and approval is granted, the government will issue a letter advising you of their decision

Receive Spanish Golden visa
You will receive your residence card which is valid for two years in around one month after your biometrics have been submitted to one of the police stations in Spain. You can attain permanent residency in five years if you have resided in Spain for more than four years and two months during these five years. Citizenship can be applied for after ten years of continuous residence in Spain
